March is Women's History Month. As a woman-owned business, we're proud to shine a spotlight on some of the women who make a difference here. We've asked them all the same questions-about their time at EnvirOx, and the women who inspire them.

How long have you worked at EnvirOx? 

4 years in May

What woman or women influenced you growing up? 

My mother, who went back to school with two children, one in college, and a full-time job, to get her Master’s Degree.

Does working at a woman-owned business feel different than other places you’ve worked? Or does it mean anything to you personally? 

I don’t have much to compare it to, but I will say there is a different level of admiration in people’s voices ( insert raised eyebrows) when they hear that news. For me personally, I would say I have a great level of respect for any business owner in this climate, especially women, who have overcome a great deal of scrutiny and doubt in the past while trying to operate a business.

What’s one thing you’d tell younger women today that you’ve learned from experience? 

Believe in yourself. Any person who tells you that you can’t rise to the occasion is not worth your time and effort. They are a “bless your heart” situation and you should move on.

If you could have dinner with four women-living or dead-who would they be and why? 

1. Tig Notaro- she is funny as hell and brings perspective and lightness to dark situations. 
2. Martha Stewart- she would be a guilty pleasure- I’ve learned a lot from her over the years, plus she is friends with Snoop, so she can’t be all bad. 
3. Stevie Nicks- because she is amazing! 
4. Lisa Gross- Because she is my “ride or die” and when we are old, we can reminisce about a funny, entertaining, classy, trashy, dinner that we had back in “the day” No one would believe us and that would be hilarious!
