March is Women's History Month. As a woman-owned business, we're proud to shine a spotlight on some of the women who make a difference here. We've asked them all the same questions-about their time at EnvirOx, and the women who inspire them.

How long have you worked at EnvirOx? 

I’ve worked at EnvirOx for 5 years now 

What woman or women influenced you growing up? 

My oldest sister influenced me in more ways than I can explain. She was ambitious, selfless, open-minded, and trustworthy. To this day, she’s my motivation and who I aspire to be. 

Does working at a woman-owned business feel different than other places you’ve worked? Or does it mean anything to you personally? 

Yes, I am proud to say that I work for a woman-owned business! During my time at EnvirOx, I’ve noticed that different values and goals are prioritized in comparison to businesses that are not owned by women. Work life balance, employee well-being, teamwork, mentorship, and inclusivity are just a few examples. Also, working at a women-owned business has provided a sense of community and empowerment by supporting women’s advancements in leadership. 

What’s one thing you’d tell younger women today that you’ve learned from experience? 

One thing I would tell younger women today is to believe in themselves and their abilities. Recognize your own worth and potential and pursue your dreams with confidence and determination. I would also encourage young women to seek out opportunities to develop their skills, gain experience in their chosen fields, and to never give up on their ambitions - even in the face of setbacks or obstacles. With hard work, perseverance, and self-belief, women can achieve great things and make a positive impact. 

If you could have dinner with four women-living or dead-who would they be and why? 

All four of these women are accomplished trailblazers who made significant contributions in their respective fields and have inspired many people around the world: 

• Malala Yousafzai is a Pakistani activist for female education and the youngest Nobel Prize laureate. 
• Ruth Bader Ginsburg was an American lawyer and jurist who served as an Associate Justice of the Supreme Court of the United States from 1993 until her death in 2020. She was a trailblazer for gender equality and women's rights in the legal profession and beyond. 
• Maya Angelou was an American poet, memoirist, and civil rights activist. She was a prominent voice for African American literature and culture. 
• Sally Ride was an American astronaut and physicist who became the first American woman in space in 1983. She was a pioneer for women in STEM fields and an advocate for science education.
