Culture & Organization

Our innovation doesn't just happen in the products we make. We also strive to create a unique, and uniquely appealing, corporate structure.

Beyond Our Products

We've always been a team of tight-knit, multi-talented individuals.

Our innovation doesn't just happen in the products we make. We also strive to create a unique, and uniquely appealing, corporate structure. We've always been a team of tight-knit, multi-talented individuals. Recently, we decided the hierarchal structures of most businesses just didn't feel very "EnvirOx" to us. We've gone with a new model that replicates the "hub and spoke" model we use for projects. Every role is integral to the whole, and although everything we do rotates around key decision makers, one of our goals is to show that everyone is a key component to the company's success, past and future.

Cross-Training and Continuing Education

Cross-training is one of the backbones of our company, intended to make sure our innovating, agile team members take the time off they need. We believe that people are truly our greatest resource. It's one reason that during the pandemic, while other companies were forced to let people go, we did everything in our power to make sure we didn't have to do that. We also support further education for team members, both for professional and personal growth. Our interview process is vigorous, and our culture critical, so we put enormous value on our people, and we've reaped the dividends year after year.

Culture. For Real.

"Corporate Culture" has been so lazily applied or implemented it can be a red flag for some people.

Corporate Culture

Too many employees have joined us with horror stories where companies said one thing and did another. Where "Corporate Culture" was weaponized against them. But when it's done with an eye toward meeting people where they are, making strong connections to their everyday work, reinforced often, and practiced throughout the company no matter what an employee's title might be, it can be an incredibly positive force. Not just for the company, but for the individual team members in their work and home life.

Culture Tools

EnvirOx utilizes four main resources for our culture. While no one cultural tool solves everything for everyone or sparks the same level of interest or understanding from everyone, we've found this mix of tools to be successful in starting discussions. What makes sense? What doesn't? What can we use or adapt?

DiSC Profiles

We use the DiSC system to help us better understand our fellow teammates, including resources where an employee can get a comparison with another teammate to see how they can improve communication and teamwork. One of the most appealing aspects of the DiSC system is that it's flexible. Built into it is the knowledge that some people learn behaviors outside of what their core behaviors might be, and these change over time.

The Oz Principle

By Roger Connors, Tom Smith, and Craig Hickman

Every employee reads this book with a mentor when they first join the company. The Oz Principle is based on a positive form of accountability

The Four Agreements

Don Miguel Ruiz

The concepts behind The Four Agreements are simple and powerful. Be impeccable with your word, Don't take anything personally, Don't make assumptions, and always do your best.

Tribal Leadership

Dave Logan, John King, Halee Fischer-Wright

The management and executive team is currently reading and working through this book, which seeks to leverage the innate drive toward tribalism into something positive by recognizing that an organization can be at one of five stages of tribalism with the goal of working the company toward Stage 5.

The Future Never Stops Coming

We've got the right team at the right time. A team unified by a strong sense of culture, accomplishment, and commitment to themselves and each other. We've structured ourselves to be an engine of innovation. As our President, Diana Stewart, recently said in one of our company meetings, we're not competing against other companies. We're competing against toxicity in an industry that still has too much of it. That's one of the reasons we keep going and keep pushing for cleaning and disinfection products that can make a difference.
